The Augustinian Fathers' in Nigeria, through the Secondary School Apostolate encourages value added training and a communitarian life style in the College. With this understanding, the students cultivate interpersonal relationships based on diligence in academics, character formation and a search for God.
This is without prejudice to the rich art and cultural heritage of the Nigerian nation as exhibited during our social nights in the College theatre.
State of the art hostels facility with modern furniture provides a place of residence for the Students. Currently, the College has four (Tolentine and VillaNova for boys, Cascia and Montefalco for girls) blocks of hostels staffed with experienced and qualified porters, matrons, patrons and house officers to provide maximum comfort and care for the students.
The houses in the College (RED, GREEN, BLUE and YELLOW) are fully represented in each hostel. These colours imply Strength, Productivity, Affection and Wisdom respectively while the choice of names for each block of hostel is in line with the catholic tradition of recognizing the contribution of Patron Saints to humanity and the search for God.
In line with the tripodal characteristics of our College culture based on ardent studies, the search for God through faith sharing and an interactive character formation process, we have modeled our Co-curricular activities with each student expected to participate in the various cadres of learning.
The vehicle through which this is achieved include Clubs and Societies (YCS,Young Farmers Club, Press Club, French Club, Computer Club, Home Maker's Club, Mathematics Club, JETS Club, UNESCO/Commonwealth Club, Family Life and HIV Club, Literary and Debating Clubs, Football/Sports Club, Music/Art Club and AYPAN), Games/ Inter-House Competitions and RecreationfMostly at Weekends).
The United Nation plays an important role in the development of International Law through its agencies including the JUSTICE AND PEACE COMMISSION which the Order of St. Augustine's Nigeria, promotes through advocacy in the College.
The United Nation plays an important role in the development of International Law through its agencies including the JUSTICE AND PEACE COMMISSION which the Order of St. Augustine's Nigeria, promotes through advocacy in the College.
The Justice and Peace Commission through her UN representative interact with the staff and students from time to time to promote equity, Justice and Peace in the College Community.
The physique of the students is an important aspect of the College life. Emphasis is laid on correct uniforms, foot wears, stockings, belts (for boys), badges, berate/scarf/hat as the case may be with an appropriate hair dress. We have no tolerance for muftis. This for us is necessary for a holistic and added value training for our students.
To heighten the consciousness of respect the students are expected to esteem and respect the designated zones in the college which are beautifully planted with flowers and choiced grasses to enhance the aesthetic value and green sceneries of the College.
The Zones are: Green Zone (Classroom Area), Deep Green Zone (the Chapel Area), Blue Zone (Boys Hostel), Pink Zone (Girls Hostel), Peach Zone (Refectory) and the Gold Zone (Sports Arena).
